Do you have a website which you were enthusiastic about for a number of years, but have now lost interest in as you’re focussing on other projects?
As we now produce and maintain hundreds of new websites every year, we’re always looking for new sources of quality links.
Asking people for links is generally a dumb idea because over time people or webmasters gradually remove links so that fantastic link I received from a quality website in 2008 which was removed in 2011 has long since ceased to provide me with any value.
That’s why I came up with the idea of going around the internet, via Twitter most likely, asking people if that old hobby website – or could be a deceased business – or even a change of company or association name – might be something they want to earn a few quick dollars from.
So far we’ve paid as little as $35 for a domain (which we then rebuilt from scratch as the site hadn’t been live for 18 months) up to $900 for a pretty good site previously owned by a marketing association who had changed their name so had a new website.
But in fact we don’t mind what subject your site is – we recently re-launched a hibiscus site because it had good metrics and we saw a correlation around garden rubbish removal for a waste management client we have. You’d be amazed at the variety we’re interested in. Tattoos, space exploration, removalists, lawyer websites, tree frogs, even Papua New Guinean eco groups – we can find value in most subjects.
It all comes down to the SEO metrics.
Upon hearing about your website or domain, my SEO Sydney researchers will run your website/domain through our SEO tools such as Majestic SEO, MOZ or Links Research Tool to ascertain whether your site still has some quality links going into it.
At that point, if the site or domain shows passable, good or great metrics, we’ll offer you a price which you’re free to accept or reject.
If you think you have something worthwhile visit our Contact Us page and we look forward to discussing.
